A large field of 120 turned up for this annual pre Xmas event. In the mens race we had probably our first ever tie between local Austin Parker (winner of round Taupo Enduro, Lake to Port) and visiting Dutch junior Jochen Cals. Jochen is based in Upper Hutt for the summer. Also notable back in 5th place was star track runner Phillip Starr.

The womens race was led from start to finish by Heather Evans who won by a large margin from veteran Denise Allan.
